Sony STR-DN1000 7.1-Channel Audio Video Sale Prices, Set Up Issues.
Set Up Issues, Decided to replace the old Sony receiver with a more recent, so I bought this because it has received good reviews. For the price, and if you have patience, I think it would be a decent model to choose. You must have patience, the creation of this receiver though. There are very few / small buttons on the front of the receiver, you must make sure not to lose the remote. The biggest problem I had was with the settings of the receiver. To get this unit set up correctly, you must have access to the GUI menu, which arrives on your TV. I have a brand new LG TV and the menu would not come out well. You must have all the other DVDs, etc., which otherwise do not play you can not enter the GUI menu ….. So needless to say, you can not make changes when you watch a movie. This was a big problem for me. If you do some research, you find that it is this particular model has this problem with the menu of the GUI. I would suggest looking at other models of Sony.
The sound was good, but I spent a long time to fix everything for the menu of the GUI. He ended the return of the receiver, because I was so frustrated with the settings and the purchase of the site of Pioneer.
